Mando Rayo is CEO and Engagement Strategist at Mando Rayo + Collective and co-author of 'Austin Breakfast Tacos: The Story of the Most Important Taco of the Day.'  

Mando’s work is deep rooted in multicultural experiences. Mando offers strategies, content development and trainings that focus on building brands and engaging online communities. Mando was part of the team that developed the Social Revolución, the official Latino event at SXSW Interactive Festival, and has worked for clients including Whataburger, LIVESTRONG, Hispanic Industries, KLRU-TV, PBS Austin, Blanton Museum of Art and more. Foundation of Silicon Valley, Goodwill Recently, Mando organized the Hispanic Marketing Symposium: State of Mind digital conference based in Austin, Texas. #HMSATX brought together industry leaders and influencers to deepen the understanding of the Latino experience, including LatinWorks, Dieste, iNSPIRE!, Batanga Media, Mercury Mambo, Indio and Tecate Beer, Nielson Group and Don Julio Tequila, among others. Mando is a frequent presenter at national conferences, including South by Southwest Interactive Festival and Hispanicize, and has been featured in the New York Times and on NPR’s All Things Considered. 

As a grassroots cocinero and taco aficionado, Mando shares his Latino perspectives and canvasses Austin and beyond to explore all things tacos. While most food bloggers focus on trendy foods and fancy trailers, Mando focuses on the richness of the taco culture. From al pastor to puffy, breakfast to 'al disqueada,' Mando chows down on the tastiest tacos Austin has to offer.
